Neuflow has been engaged to provide project management services for a major new piece of infrastructure in Hamilton. A new 25MLD drinking water reservoir, along with supporting infrastructure, will enhance the city’s water supply and strengthen its firefighting capacity as Hamilton’s central city continues to grow. This project is part of a broader infrastructure programme, supported by funding from the Government’s Infrastructure Acceleration Fund (IAF), designed to unlock housing development in the central city.
A second tank will need to be built by 2040 to ensure the city keeps ahead of its demand for water supply. This will have separate funding via future long-term planning, and is not part of our current project.

The key target is completion of the first reservoir by 2028.
